Effects of Climate and Institution Size on Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Colleges and Universities in the United States.

Abstract

The article presents a study on the institution size and climate effects on greenhouse gas emissions coming from colleges and universities in the U.S. It states that greenhouse gases emissions from buildings constitute 40 percent of the entire emissions in the country. The study uses regression model that includes building area, and to obtain the climate data it uses mean temperature from a weather website. It concludes that emissions per building area increased as the institution size.
